The GOC(General of The Coalition) is a spot only filled by one person. That person is the one that goes to each division and gains information on changes and ideas to be brought up to the Generals of the Division. The GOC also is the one that collects all information to update the website. The 5 Star General is the one that represents COB Gaming when conversing with other clans or sponsors unless he has given a very trusted General or Brigadier General of his/her choosing, giving them a good name for COB. The GOC is the one representing COB as a whole in every moment he is conversing with other people.
GOC Responsibilities: -Oversee the entire Community. -Make sure his/her Generals and below are doing their job correctly. -Has Absolute last word on any serious decision.
Generals are the backbone of COB and should be respected by all COB members. As a General you are a role model for your Brigadier General and all clan members. A General is responsible for running one Division, overseeing all aspects of their Division. As a General you must promote as needed to assist you in running the division. Generals are also expected to meet with their clan when needed to discuss squad and divisional issues and vote on promotions within the squad or division. Generals work closely with their Colonels and Brigadier Generals to create an enjoyable gaming experience for all. A General becomes eligible for a promotion by running a large and successful division and with the blessing of General of the Entire Coalition. Generals must display sound judgment and decision making in all aspects of their online interaction.
Generals Responsibilities: - Know, understand and be able to teach all the responsibilities of the lower ranks. - Run and oversee all aspects of one clan. - Update your members list on the forums on the 1st and 15th of every month. - Hold weekly meetings with Captains and Lt’s to discuss squad issues and pass on the latest community news and possible Promotions and Demotions. - Work closely with their Brigadier Generals and Colonels to create an enjoyable gaming experience all members in the COB Gaming Community.
Brigadiers are a General's right hand man and General-in-training. Brigadiers are the ones that help run the clan efficiently and the ones that are able to fill in for a generals absence. Brigadiers need to keep close and meet with Colonels weekly to discuss the expansion and success of a Division. A Brigadier will be the one that all other clan members below him look up to for answers and advice. As a Brigadier you need to be keeping records of the following: COB Rules, Violations, New Recruit/Privates, Rank Changes/Promotions, and New Ideas and Theories. All records should be sent to your General at the end of the week for it to be passed up to the General of the Coalition. As always good communication is the key to success.
Brigadier General Responsibilities:
-To make sure everything is running smoothly on the website. -Any problems on the site or on XBL make sure to handle the situation at hand. -Boot, Promote, Demote, or Blacklist any Clan or individual (With General or GOC Approval)
Colonels are the main people that do all of the practices in this Gaming Community. They help train many lower recruits and set the example for how you need to be in this clan to be successful. Colonels are the ones that will also recruit people into the clan when they find people that they see potential in a gamer. They work closely with their Brigadier to learn and evolve into a better leader for the future not only in this clan.When there are any problems in the squads or divisions, they report directly to their Brigadier and if problem is larger, directly to their General. Colonels will be responsible to make sure their captains collect squad lists and roster updates for the clan and update them. Following the chain of command is the key to running this clan smoothly. Keeping minor problems in minor ranks, and major problems, with major ranks.
Colonels Responsibilities: -Make sure forums are running accordingly -To Post news on front page(until news team is created) -Be familiar with all plugins given so he/she can accomplish the job correctly when asked. -Help Run his/her squad to a grand Squad.
Promotion Qualifications: -Have ran the forums and site problems with no problems. -Shown Great Leadership and creativity. -50 recruit/privates enlisted into the squad. -150 posts completed in the forums.
A good Captain must posses the following qualities, leadership, the ability to positively reinforce the COB infrastructure, sound decision making and dedication. As a Captain, you will need to evaluate all new recruits, vote on them. Captains are responsible for promoting a Lieutenant to assist them.
Captains Responsibilities: - Know, understand and be able to teach all the responsibilities of the lower ranks. - Act in a professional manner at all times. - Be active online in the game and on the forums. -Show dedication and commitment while assisting your General run a successful squad. -Evaluate and vote on new recruits. Whether the individual should stay or booted. - Follow the chain of command and take issues to your General. -Beginning of a 1st level Admin.
Promotion Qualification: -30 recruit/privates into squad -100 posts completed in squad -Admin duties and Community have been met and over see’d.
A 1st Lieutenant is the Captain’s right hand and the first line of defense in upholding the COB Rules. You will be responsible for assisting the captain in setting up meetings if called for, training lower ranking members, and finding potential recruits. They can also run Practices and meetings when a Captain is not a present.
1st Lieutenants Responsibilities: - Assist the Captain when running meetings, training lower ranking members and screening potential recruits - Follow and enforce the COB Rules and COB Creed. - Be a dedicated and an active member in the squad on XBL and Website. -Starting level of an Moderator/ Keeping Peace in the forums.
Promotion Qualification: -20 Recruit/Privates into the squad. -75 posts completed in the forums. -Haven shown maturity and leadership abilitys.
A Sergeant Major main job is to make sure his/her sergeants are doing their respected position to their best of their abilitys.
Sergeants Responsibilities: -Enforce the COB Rules and regulations -Set the standard of a Sergeant Major to all Privates and Recruits. -Work closely with 1st Lieutenants and Majors.
Promotion Qualifications: -15 Private/Recruits enlisteded into the squad. -50 posts completed in the forums. -Completed his job to his/her best ability.
A Sergeant is a COB Leader who has earned the privilege of getting a COB gamer tag once approved by their Captain. You will be expected to be an example to the Privates and recruits below you and to help them when ever possible.
Sergeants Responsibilities: - Follow the COB Rules. - Follow the chain of command - Be an example to Privates and Recruits and help them when ever possible. -Work closely with Lieutenants and Captains to discuss any little problem that may be occurring in the squad.
Sergeants Promotion Qualifications: -10 recruit/privates enlisted into the squad -make sure recruits/privates have kept up with their responsibilitys. -30 completed posts in the forums. -Their Corporals and below have been attentive to the gaming community.
A Corporal at this stage of the Chain of command is to attain to his/her Private 1st Class and lower questions and concerns about the Gaming Community. Inflict and Uphold the COB Rules and make sure the new recruits have read and fully understand the COB Creed.
Corporals Responsibilities: -Encourage members to recruit mature and respectful prospect. -Keep lines of communication open with all new members
Promotion Qualifications: -5 Recruit/Privates enlisted into the squad. -15 completed posts in the forums. -That Private 1st Class have Completed their job.
The first responsibility of a Private 1st Class once accepted in is to register at ( CLICK LINK HERE ). A Private can be classified as a new member to COB. Responsibilities of a Private 1st Class include knowing the COB Rules, have read the COB Creed,meeting/interacting with other COB members, and participating in squad activities. Your time as a Private 1st Class is geared towards letting you get familiar with the COB community and the manner in which we play.
Private 1st Class Responsibilities: - Register at ( CLICK LINK HERE ). This must be done in a timely manner or their position in the squad will be terminated. - Learn, understand and follow the Honor Code and the COB Creed. - Learn and follow the rank structure and chain of command. - Participate in squad activities.
Promotion Qualifications: -1 competed post in the forums -1 Possible new recruit/private
A new recruit/private is a gamer who has been invited to play with and get to know the COB Gaming Community. This period of time is to enable the gamer to decide if COB is the right online gaming community for them. After this period of time the recruit/private will be asked if he/she would like to fully join The Coalition with a Sargeant Major or highers Approval.
